As Valentine’s Day is coming up, we have the perfect easy to make chocolate recipe that will certainly melt your lover’s heart! Our Dairy-Free Mandarin Chocolate Mousse is rich, chocolatey and best of all, free of dairy, egg and refined sugar!
And with Chinese New Year taking place right after, you’ll definitely have some extra mandarin oranges in hand to whip up this zesty decadent guilt-free dessert for any occassion!
DAIRY-FREE MANDARIN CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
(makes 2 servings)
2 medium – sized pitted avocadoes (riped)
6 pitted dates (soaked)
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
60 g vegan chocolate (melted)
90 ml freshly squeezed *mandarin orange juice
2 tbsp rice malt syrup (add according to taste)
Pinch of sea salt
Zest of mandarin orange
1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend till smooth and creamy.
2. Pipe/ Spoon the chocolate mousse into small glasses and garnish with mandarin orange zest.
3. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Dig in and enjoy your very own guilt-free, dairy-free mandarin chocolate mousse!
* if mandarin orange is not available, you may substitute it with either orange, tangerine or clementine.
