This underrated oatmeal porridge is elevated up a notch with a dash of maca. Aside from its delicious caramel flavour, maca contains energy-giving properties that makes this nourishing bowl of porridge a perfect start to your day! CHOCOLATE MACA OAT PORRIDGE
1/2 c gluten-free rolled oats
3/4 c unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp raw cacao powder
1 tbsp rice malt syrup
1 tsp maca powder
Pinch of salt
2 squares of vegan dark chocolate (20g)
Kiwi & strawberries
1. In a small saucepan, heat together rolled oats, almond milk, cacao powder & salt to a rolling boil.
2. Lower down the heat and let the oat mixture simmer for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. When most of the almond milk has been absorbed by the oats, remove the saucepan from the fire & stir in 2 squares of dark chocolate followed by rice malt syrup & maca powder.
4. Empty the Chocolate Maca Oat Porridge into a bowl & garnish it with fresh fruits & edible flowers.
