The Beach

Karon Beach is literally right across the road from Thavorn Palm Beach Resort. This soft sandy beach spans 5km overlooking the Andaman Sea. Karon Beach doesn’t feel over crowded and is rather safe for kids to play sandcastles and take a quick dip in the warm waters – depending on the season.

November to April is the best time to go to Karon Beach as the water is crystal clear, calm and great for swimming. However if your planning a holiday during the monsoon season from May to October, Karon Beach Phuket experiences dangerous riptides and swells. Lifeguards are stationed at Karon Beach but do keep a lookout for the warning flags before jumping in the sea.

Numerous taxi stands can be found at Phuket International Airport at the arrivals hall. Rates are usually fixed at the airport and should cost around THB 900 from Phuket Airport to Karon Beach.
