POMEGRANATE KUMQUAT GINGER PUNCH

With less than a week to go before the festive celebrations, we have created the perfect punch to serve for your upcoming party that will certainly benefit everyone. This booze-free, bright and fruity version of a Christmas punch gets its bubbles & fizz from the addition of ginger kombucha (a fermented sweetened tea). On top of the antioxidant benefits you reap from the pomegranate juice, the ginger kombucha will ensure that your gut health is sustained during the festive period! Say hello to 2018 without a hangover with our very own pomegranate kumquat ginger punch!

INGREDIENTS

10 kumquats
1.5 litres of pomegranate cold-pressed juice (chilled)
1 litre of ginger kombucha (chilled)
Ice cubes

Garnish (optional)
Kumquat slices
Pomegranate arils
Sprigs of mint leaves

DIRECTIONS

1. Slice the kumquats into halves. Place them in a pitcher & muddle them with a wooden spoon.

2. Mix in the pomegranate cold-pressed juice & ginger kombucha into the pitcher. Add in the ice cubes.

3. Pour into individual glasses and garnish them with kumquat slices, pomegranate arils & mint leaves. Enjoy!

*if you plan to make the drink ahead, add in the ginger kombucha right before serving so the fizz & bubbles won’t dissipate.
** To make it into an alcoholic punch, we suggest adding a splash of gin or vodka and voila!

Enjoy!

I drink the ginger kombucha all the time but never mixed it with other flavorings! Will definitely be trying this!

  • What a great recipe for this holiday season, love it. I remember the first time I had kumquats when i lived in Los Angeles.
